All you have to do is highlight all your lines in autoCAD, copy from the pulldown and go to illustrator and use paste from the pull down. The lines go into illustrator as lines still and can be edited, you do all your line weights in here. I make my sheets in illustrator if they have text or vector based info, photshop for images, and in design for multiple pages or more layout-ish type stuff. Now available in AutoCAD 2013 is a new draw order tool. This tool will bring all leader objects to the front of the draw order. The command for this tool is an option with the command TEXTTOFRONT Or The draw order tool can be found on the Home tab > Modify panel Draw Order flyout and select the “Bring Leaders to Front” tool. Is there a command that can 'bring an object to front' or 'send an object to back'. For instance, I have a circle with a number and some criss-crossing lines occupying the same space in my drawing. When I print, I want the circle with the number to show, but I do not want the criss-crossing lines to show inside the circle. In other words, I want the circle with the number to be on 'top' and the criss-crossing lines to be 'below'. The criss-crossing lines that are under the circle and number would be 'hidden', and thus, not show on the drawing. Can AutoCAD 2002 do this? How does it do it? Is it a matter of assigning 'levels' to a particular object so that, maybe, an object with a 'higher' level than another shows up on top, while the object with a 'lower' level shows up underneath, and part of the 'lower' level may be covered by a 'higher' level? Thanks, and hope someone can help. RE: How to 'Bring Objects to Front' or 'Send to Back' (Civil/Environmental) 18 Jan 06 11:38. Airplay media player for mac free. Thanks for the prompt response, Ipseifert. ![]() ![]() However, how does one actually use 'DRAWORDER'? Hope you can provide step-by-step instructions using the example provided. Anyway, when I type the 'DRAWORDER' command, it says 'Select Objects'. I presume I will select the circle and number per my example, and hit 'Enter'. AutoCAD then asks for 'Enter object ordering option'. I key in 'A' for 'Above Object'. Now, AutoCAD asks for 'Select Reference Object', and I am not sure what it is asking for?? I tried selecting the objects that will be 'under' the circle and number, but it doesn't seem to work.
Is there a way I can make my circle solid without filling it in with a solid color? If my circle were 'filled in', as it were, the lines behind it won't show, but then, I cannot put in a number in my circle. Okay, what I am trying to do it to label a part of my drawing. It is actually an opening that I have criss-crossed at the corners. Now, I want to put in a label for the opening. Best car racing games for mac. My 'circle' is actually a hexagon with a letter, in this case 'D'. I want to put that hexagon in the center of the opening, but I don't want the criss-crossing lines behind it to show where the hexagon is. I do want the criss-crossing lines to show outside of my hexagon. Can anybody suggest what is the best way to do this? Thanks a bunch.
